White Collar and Matt Bomer; Yummyyyyy

Neal is a con artist and Peter is an FBI agent and now they work together! Even though it seems as if they have nothing is common, they do; intelligence and a good heart. Peter caught Neal twice and they both know how intelligent the other is. They might never say it out loud, but they secretly admire each other. They also know that the other would never deliberately hurt anyone. Thus, this respect is the stepping stone to their unbreakable bond. And now they are a part of each other’s lives and they would draw on heaven and earth to save each other. They care about each other, respect each other, know each other and love each other. This kind of love just doesn’t go away…

But Neal is a con artist. There is a certain complex duality to his personality. He is a smart guy and when it comes to sweet talking, forging and stealing, he is probably the best. But when it comes to his heart; his love for Kate, his love for the Nazi treasure and his love for his father, he makes sloppy decisions, he makes mistakes and there we see his flaws. Not just this, he also faces an internal conflict between the need to be free and stable. He wants to run away and be free, walk outside his 2 mile radius but he also wants to stop running and settle down and find good caring people to share his life with. He has that with Peter. But the question he faces is that are a few people worthy enough to sacrifice his freedom for? In this, we again see his flaws. How he is hurting, torn up and barely keeping it together. But these flaws are what make him perfect and the show interesting.

These flaws make the show interesting but what makes this show heartwarming is that every time Neal loses it or breaks down, Peter is there to put him back together piece by piece, no judgments and no conditions apply.

This is the true beauty of White Collar. In my opinion, it is not just a story about the work relationship of an FBI agent and a con artist, rather it is about the relationship of two similar yet completely different men.
